Postpatrum visit – midwife

Postpartum visit:

• Collection of anamnesis – we ask about pregnancy, childbirth, puerperium and baby’s behavior;

• Examination of the mother – assessment of the postpartum course and healing of possible wounds – if necessary, also removal of sutures and collection of material for testing, breast examination;

• Examination of the child – assessment of the general condition, hydration, weight of the child, umbilical cord and adaptation changes; if necessary, we perform a transcutaneous bilirubin measurement and collect material for testing;

• Feeding assessment;

• Providing tips on child-friendly care – if you also want help with the first bath;

• Providing tips on how to look after yourself after giving birth.
